Riflettere sul rapporto tra architettura e archeologia, a proposito degli esiti di un laboratorio di laurea intitolato "La Grande Akragas" e di un workshop organizzato alla Valle dei Templi di Agrigento, è stata l’occasione per recuperare alcune precedenti esperienze comprese fra didattica e ricerca. Individuare la sequenza di alcuni approfondimenti ha svelato l’osmosi generatasi fra attività di studio disposte, cronologicamente, in momenti differenti. Delphi: dall'omphalos cosmico al Museo Archeologico

The permanent exhibition in the Archaeological Museum, which focuses on the history of the Delphic temenos and the events related to the famous oracle and omphalos, is analyzed through the complex and delicate relationship which the contemporary museum building has established with his context, as the archaeological site of Delphi can be read as an open-air museum, which was able to accumulate and settle inside its perimeter, in a variety of declinations, the architecture and the art of ancient Hellas.

Capturing situational interest in the past : the salience of children’s experiences in open-air museums

Open-air museums are immersive learning environments disseminating ideas about the lifestyle and material culture of pre-modern times. Considering their significance and prevalence in Northern and Eastern Europe, little is known about how contemporary children perceive these cultural heritage spaces. This study scrutinizes how primary school pupils from Sweden and Belarus encountered visits to Skansen (Sweden) and the Belarusian State Museum of Folk Architecture and Rural Lifestyle (Belarus) and expressed experiences about their visits in drawings and in follow-up interpretations.
